Join us for one of the largest Citizen Con Watch Parties in the Midwest! This October, the Chicago Bar Citizen community is excited to host a Citizen Con Direct Watch Party at the Mount Prospect Public House — a full-venue takeover to celebrate Star Citizen and connect with fellow Citizens from across the U.S.

18 W Busse Ave., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 – Located just one block from a major public transit line (connecting to downtown Chicago and the suburbs) and a nearby parking garage. Complimentary valet service is available, located on the circle/roundabout adjacent to the venue.

If tickets are not sold out by the time of the event, they may be bought at the door – but no guarantees any tickets will be available at that time – so please plan ahead! Event Details

• Date: October 11, 2025 – From 12 PM to 4 PM CST – Venue opens early just for us! Extended hours if the stream runs long.
• Limited Ticket Sales! Max of 215 tickets will be sold. Chicago BarCitizen usually brings in about 150 people, and that’s not for CitizenCon – get your tickets early and secure your spot!

Highlights Include:

• Full Venue Access: ~4,000 sq. ft. across 3 rooms with 11 stream-ready TVs and full in-house audio—no matter where you sit, you’ll catch every moment.
• Dedicated Streaming Setup: The stream will be visible and audible throughout the space, including two full bars, pool tables, and dart games.
• Accessibility: Handicap-accessible layout, shorter tables and high tops, plus nearby public transport options and valet/garage parking.

Special Experiences

• Retro Wing Commander Zone: Original hardware setups featuring Wing Commander I-IV
• Star Citizen Play Zone: Dual joystick experience station to dive into the ‘Verse live
• Giveaways: With or without a CIG presence, we’ll be handing out fun prizes!
• Community Tables: A couple of tables will be setup to promote local orgs and creators. Feel free to bring a flyer, business cards, stickers, or other small promotional items to add to the table to support yourself or your org.

Meet the Coordinators

Hosting the event is Maiden Ariana, Adventure Bear, Goodshot, Nerdy Kitten and Pappadopolis. This team is passionate about delivering a welcoming, organized, and high-energy experience. With a strong history of Bar Citizen events, Chicago is a hub for both local and out-of-state attendees—including Citizens from New York, Florida, Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

Is CIG going to be there?

What does my $20 ticket include?

Admission to the event, some food options & water. Additional food/drink may be purchased by the attendee at the bar or with the wait staff. The food provided does not include specific Vegan/GF options. If you need something specific, please plan ahead.

What’s the parking situation?

There is complimentary valet parking. It is shared between the 3 restaurants and is located on the circle drive adjacent to the bar on the circle/roundabout.

What if I don’t have a car?

There is a Metra station (“Mount Prospect”) just one block from the bar – line “Union Pacific Northwest” also known as “UP-NW”. This station goes all the way to Ogilvie (downtown Chicago, just a couple blocks from Union Station). There are also interconnects downtown that go to the airport(s).

If there are a lot of people, how can I be guaranteed I can watch the stream?

The bar has 11 TVs all around the bar, seating and game areas. These TVs will all be simultaneously streaming CitizenCon, with the audio coming from overhead. There is no concern about missing anything!

I’m not from Illinois, what else is there to do while I’m in town?

There is so much to do downtown and in the burbs! Museum of Science & Industry is our #1 most-recommended destination if you plan to stay. Nearby the bar there is also a very popular local game store. On Sunday, there is a farmer’s market in the same area. For more, just ask your event hosts.

Keep in mind, the bar is only one block from the train station that goes downtown! *If I remember correctly, train passes are mostly all digital now. Be sure to download the Ventra app and purchase your ticket before you get on the train or at least be signed in and ready to purchase your ticket – they sometimes go around collecting as soon as you get on!
